What is an ally House?
Ally House provides an open, safe, and inclusive living environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally students, as well as others beyond the sexuality and gender binary. Ally House fosters a community dedicated to the education and understanding of sexuality and gender issues.
Where do engineering students live at Penn State?
E-house is conveniently located in McKee Hall, a sector of the West Halls residence area sited next to Recreation Hall and the Lion Shrine. E-House is considered a co-ed special living option, available only to those full-time students accepted into the College of Engineering at University Park.

What does an ally do?
An ally is someone who is not a member of an underrepresented group but who takes action to support that group. It’s up to people who hold positions of privilege to be active allies to those with less access, and to take responsibility for making changes that will help others be successful.
What is ally training?
Mission. The Ally Training Series educates members of the University community about lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer (LGBTQ) issues as well as racially marginalized communities to create a network of allies to create a community of safety and inclusion for all its members.
Why should I be an ally?
Allies are people from a group who don’t suffer discrimination but who provide support to those who are discriminated against. Allyship at work can have many potential benefits . It can foster positive inter-group connections, undermine racism and other forms of oppression and build a more positive workplace culture.
